Relocation later in life can have its challenges.  A life event usually triggers a move at this age and moving from a home with a life time of memories can be difficult.

NEXMOV was originally created to assist older adults and their families with the emotional and physical aspects of relocation. Sensitivity to moving seniors and those with physical challenges is important as is understanding what has triggered the move.  Whether moving into an independent senior community, assisted living or memory care we work closely with families to make sure these moves are handled with dignity.

One-Day Transition 

Some relocation situations are best handled all in one day.  This eliminates the drawn-out process of moving and lessens the stress.  Magically, on the same day, the new space is completely packed, moved and unpacked, with the bed made, the television working and room(s) decorated. Most importantly, we pay special attention to replicating the environment that was left behind.  This is especially important for those diagnosed with Alzheimer's and/or dementia.
